Dude! Punctuation matters. When you have a line that says "McAvoy and Brandon Carlo Possibly Traded?" It looks like you are saying both will be traded. Not only that, but there is no mention of Carlo in the rest of the text.

Come on Ek. You're better than that.

Wait. What? Your previous rumour was that McAvoy was about to sign a bridge deal, maybe on Friday. A month later...and...McAvoy is a good bet to sign a longer-term extension!!

Kronwall is the last remaining Wing from the Cup champions. Hmm...Ericsson, Helm?

Filpulla, Ercisson, Helm.

hes a stanley cup fact. the flyers havent won it since 74-75 season. Currently the 4th longest drought in the NHL!

“sources tell me that the Bruins always see their success linked to a single defensive stalwart who they can count on for years to come...”

LOL, you can’t make this stuff up. Well, I guess Ek can. Not only is one “source” giving you some long explanation about how the Bruins “always see their success linked to a single defensive stalwart who they can count on for years to come”, it’s multiple “sources” telling you that! Cmon Ek, give it up.

I laugh when guys kill him on the rumors, which in itself are funny sometimes, but man he does this to himself. The fact that puts Carlo in the headline as a possible trade candidate then he doesnt even mention Carlo again in the whole paragraph is ridiculous.

Ek is dead on about Carlo. A trade is possible.

It just would be nice to get a list of all the people a trade is not possible for. You know, as contrast....

...like you can trade for Brandon Carlo, but you can't trade for Willie Huber.

You cannot trade for Alexander Daigle, because no matter what the question or problem is, Alexander Daigle is never the right answer.

Example: "Who was taken first overall in the 1993 draft?"
Answer: "The guy before Chris Pronger."

So Kronwall is the last guy left from the championship team... except the other guys that are still around.

Wasn't Filppula on one of those Cup teams?

Yes, but he did say "Wings Cups" so, unless you count Zetterberg, he was the last with more than 1.

Edit: Nope, he just had 1 too. Carry on.

Yes I forgot Filppula. So we have Helm, Ericsson, and Filppula as active players who won the Cup with Detroit. Abdelkader and Howard were both given Cup rings in 2008 but neither played enough games to be engraved on the Cup itself.

But yeah, Kronwall is the end of an era.

Ericsson didn't play in any of the playoff games that year I don't think.

True. My bad. He was in the same camp as Howard and Abby.
